First flight of the HELICOPTERIX
Made from plough mould boards, a digger bucket and smith's tongs and
powder coated agricultural blue, the Helicopterix arrives for Serena
Thirkell's new exhibition of classic agricultural, engineering and smith's
tools and bicycles recycled into mythical creatures.

Serena Thirkell. Armadillo. Created for this exhibition.
Serena Thirkell. Serena is from Lewes. and comes from an artistic tradition - her great grandfather was Edward Burne-Jones. Serena's hallmark pieces are recycled tools, household items and everyday objects, which she makes into insects and bugs and animals. She loves to see them placed in 'garden' settiings.
